You can use the whole app without giving us any personal information. There is no required sign-in, no name, no analytics service, and no advertising. Nothing the app stores is sold, shared, or used to track you.
These live in the app's own storage on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
If you allow it, the app uses your location to show happy hours near you, how far away each one is, and to center the map. This happens on your device — and Apple Maps uses it to draw the map and your location dot. We do not receive, store, or share your location. If you decline, the app simply opens to an island-wide Oʻahu view and hides distances.
So your saved spots and notes can be kept safely off your phone, the app creates an anonymous account the first time it runs. It is a random identifier — not your name, email, phone number, device id, or Apple ID, and not linked to anything about you. We cannot tell who you are from it, and we do not try to.
What gets stored against that account:
Your comment is shown only to you. Your star rating and tap-feedback are combined with everyone else's and shown to other guests only as anonymous totals (for example, "most guests say great value") — never tied to you, and your comment text is never shared. That is all we keep — no location history and no record of what you browse. Apart from the one-time kamaʻāina-or-visitor answer, everything above is optional; leave it and nothing else is stored against the account beyond that answer and the random id itself.
If you want your saved spots and notes to survive a lost or new phone, you can attach an email address to your account in Settings. This is entirely optional and the app works fully without it. We verify it with a six-digit code (there is no password to choose), and we use the address only to keep your data with your account and to send that code. We do not email you marketing, and we do not share the address. Once an email is attached, your account and saved data become reachable from it — which is the point of the backup.
The venue names, happy-hour times, and open hours in the app are gathered from public sources on the web. That is information about businesses, not about you. See the Terms of Use for why you should always confirm details with the venue.
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. That removes your saved list and the anonymous account from our server immediately and permanently. Deleting the app removes everything held on the phone.
The app does not track you across apps or websites, does not use advertising identifiers, and shares nothing with data brokers or advertisers.
The anonymous account, your saved list, your ratings and notes, and any reports are stored with Supabase, our backend provider, on our behalf. If you add an email, the verification code is sent through Resend, our email provider. The map is drawn by Apple Maps. We use no analytics or advertising services.
Happy hour is an adult, alcohol-related context, so the app is intended for users of legal drinking age. It collects no personal information from anyone.
If a future version ever collects anything more, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change described plainly here rather than buried.
